A lovely water nymph sea princess. Her status is denoted by the strands of pearls woven into her hair. One of the things I really liked about this piece when making it was the impasto texture of her hair. It was a happy accident. As soon as I saw that first stroke go on the paper I realized how much dimension it added to her hair and made the locks look very realistic.
