Once upon a time there was a young girl who loved reading fantasy stories....

April grew up with a love for reading. She spent many a late night and summer vacation snuggled under a quilt with a book where she embarked on many grand adventures. The long time love of the fantasy realm eventually sparked her desire to learn how to put brush to paper and paint the images from her imagination. April is a completely self taught artist, learning from books and experimentation over the years. Drawing with pencils came first and then a few years ago she was inspired to learn how to actually use color and paint. Most of her works are watercolor, however she has been branching out to acrylics and digital painting on some pieces. April listens to music when she paints and is inspired by a number of things: nature, books, songs, the pre-Raphaelites, surrealism and the impossible works by M.C. Escher.

April is also a Christian and has been fascinated in particular with the chapter "Book of Revelation" in the Bible since she was very young. It is no wonder as that chapter reads almost like a fantasy novel with angels, a dragon, prophecies, unknown monsters and much more. April has recently started working on the sketches for illustrating these scenes and hopes one day soon to include them in her online gallery.

She lives in Florida with her wonderful husband, son and pets. Aside from painting, her interests include dabbling in 3D rendering art, crafting, sewing and learning to spin and knit yarn.

April has had her artwork (Mermaid Queen of Atlantis) published in a book titled "Visions of Atlantis".
