April VanSickle's love of creating art can be traced back to very early in her life. One of her earliest memories is learning to draw by sketching Wonder Woman over and over again. Confident in her skills she then set up a little table outside in the front yard and sold commissioned art for 5 cents to the neighborhood kids. As she grew older various other subjects like still life, plants, cars, super models, rock stars and more became the subjects of her drawing. Drawing was something she always turned to as a hobby until her first year in college and then she focused on getting a college education and art went on the back burner for a few years.

April graduated from the University of Florida (in chemistry). A few years after graduation though she pursued her love and interest in art and embarked once again on a perpetual quest of drawing and painting to teach herself the abilities to be able to recreate the images in her mind. Her favorite subjects include knights and fairies, high fantasy and dragons, cute critters, religious themes and quite a few involve birds.

Aside from painting, her interests and hobbies include reading (particularly fantasy), watching movies, gaming, World of Warcraft, dabbling at all sorts of music, knitting, sewing, bookbinding and other artistic outlets. She currently resides in Florida with her husband and stepson and assorted pets.
