Once upon a time there was a young girl who loved reading fantasy stories.... April's love for fantasy came from her love for reading. Many a late night and summer vacation was spent snuggled under a quilt with a book where she embarked on many grand adventures. The long time love of the fantasy realm eventually sparked her desire to learn how to put pencil and brush to paper and paint the images from her imagination. Drawing with pencils came first and then a few years ago she was inspired to use watercolors for her artworks. Most of her works are watercolor, however April has been branching out to acrylics and digital painting on some pieces. An avid music fan, she listens to music while painting and finds inspiration from a number of things: nature, books, songs, the pre-Raphaelites, surrealism and the impossible works by M.C. Escher. April and her husband live in Florida along with their son and various pets. Aside from painting, her interests include gaming, dabbling at all sorts of crafting, crocheting, sewing and learning to spin and knit yarn.
